Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 7, 2026 · Last updated: October 7, 2026

Opes Sapientiae, LLC operates Neighborhood.biz and The Shirlington Local as its business names (collectively, “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit neighborhood.biz, contact us, request advertising availability, purchase advertising services, or communicate with us about those services.

1. Information we collect

Please provide only information needed for your inquiry or advertising order. Do not send full card numbers, passwords, government identification numbers, or other sensitive personal information through our inquiry form or ordinary email.

2. How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries; check category and placement availability; prepare and manage advertising agreements; design and obtain approval for ads; coordinate printing and distribution; process payments and billing; provide customer support; measure campaign engagement; maintain business records; secure and improve our services; and comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

We may also contact you about our advertising services. You can ask us to stop promotional communications using the contact information below or any unsubscribe method provided. We may still send necessary communications about an active inquiry, order, agreement, payment, or legal obligation.

3. Service providers and information sharing

We disclose information as reasonably needed to providers that support our business, including Amazon Web Services for website hosting and form processing, Google services for email and document storage, payment providers, and tools that help organize inquiries and prepare agreement drafts. We may use AI-assisted tools to process submitted business details and prepare communications or documents; those tools are not authorized to accept an agreement or reserve an ad placement on your behalf. Review any agreement before signing.

Printers, designers, mailing providers, and delivery services may receive information needed to produce and distribute your approved advertising. Contact details and other material you approve for inclusion in an ad will be published in that ad and may be accessible to the public.

We do not sell your personal information or provide inquiry contact lists to other businesses for their independent marketing. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, prevent fraud, enforce an agreement, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of our business, subject to applicable law.

4. Stripe payment processing

If you use Stripe to make a payment, information is shared with Stripe to process and administer that payment. Stripe may also collect transaction information and information about devices connecting to its services, including through cookies and similar technologies. Stripe uses information to operate and improve its services, authenticate transactions, prevent and detect fraud, and analyze service performance. Stripe may process information under its own privacy policy as well as provide services to us. Learn more at Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The current public website does not use third-party advertising trackers or an advertising cookie program. Hosting providers may process technical request information. Embedded Stripe payment buttons and linked payment pages may use cookies or similar technologies and send device or technical information to Stripe when they load, even if you do not complete a payment. Other external services may also use their own cookies or similar technologies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; blocking them may affect some third-party payment or authentication features. If we introduce additional tracking technologies, we will update this policy and provide any notices or choices required by law.

6. Retention, security, and processing locations

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including managing inquiries and customer relationships, providing services, maintaining accounting and contractual records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal requirements. Retention depends on the information and its purpose; we do not promise immediate deletion of records that must be kept.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to our services. No website, email system, or method of storage can guarantee complete security. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate, subject to applicable requirements.

7. Your choices and privacy requests

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to stop promotional communications. Depending on applicable law, you may have additional rights, including restrictions on certain processing or an appeal of a privacy-request decision. We will handle requests in accordance with applicable law and may need to verify your identity. Some requests may be limited by contractual, accounting, legal, or security obligations. You do not have to submit a form to browse the website.

8. Children and external links

Our services are intended for businesses and adult business representatives, not children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can address it. External websites and services linked from this site have their own privacy practices; this policy does not govern those services.

9. Policy updates and contact

We may update this policy as our services or practices change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. We will provide additional notice when required by law.

Analytics and advertising cookies

With your permission, Neighborhood.biz uses Google Analytics (G-5GMZ8W966C) and Meta Pixel to measure visits and clicks on call, text and category-availability links. These services can help create audiences for our advertising on Google, Facebook and Instagram when the relevant accounts and advertising features are connected.

Google and Meta may receive browser and device information, IP/network information, page information and event information, and may associate activity with their users. This installation does not intentionally send form contents, names, email addresses, phone numbers or uploaded artwork. Google page URLs are sent without query strings or fragments.

Optional tracking stays off until you accept analytics and advertising cookies. You can reject or withdraw permission through Cookie choices. Supported browser Global Privacy Control signals disable this optional tracking. Your choice is stored in your browser.
